We are inviting every Idaho PTA member to attend the Idaho PTA Legislative Day. This is also a great opportunity for middle school, junior high, and high school students to be introduced to the legislative process. Your PTA can bring a group of students or you can bring your own teenage children. Attending Legislative Day is a legitimate PTA expense. Ask your PTA if they have funds to sponsor you and/or youth attending. Registration form is available by clicking here.

WHERE: First Baptist Church, 607 North 13th Street, Boise, Idaho WHO: Every member of a unit in good standing and middle school or high school students from PTA schools. Unit presidents: it is important that you invite members from your unit to attend. This is a great way to include other PTA members aside from those on your board. It is also a great way to get students involved in the legislative process. The day has been planned to make it interesting for students as well as members. The cost is $25 for adults and $10 for students, which includes lunch and materials. Many of you have already registered in conjunction with Advocacy Conference. If you have NOT registered, please do so by completing the registration form no later than February 1, 2008. If you have questions call Idaho PTA at 208-344-0851 or send an email to: idahopta@mindspring.com. WHY: Because as a member of PTA, you care about every child in Idaho. Laws are being proposed that will change the way we will educate our children. This will be an opportunity to meet with those people who are making these laws. This is also a chance to learn about the legislative process. You will also have the opportunity to network with others around Idaho who share our common goal of a better education for all children.
