The Governor has signed into law the public schools budget. From Superintendent Luna's press release on the signing, "The FY2010 Public Schools Budget approved in the Legislature today reduces state funding for public education by 3.2 percent next school year. The Legislature used $60 million in funding from the federal stimulus package to offset even deeper cuts to public education."
